Cassandra Perry

Cripsex Agitator, Consultant, and Writer in Washington, DC

Hi, I'm Caz.

"Caz" is short for my first name, "Cassandra." In Slavic, "Caz" means "the famous destroyer of peace." Urban Dictionary has some amusing definitions, too. But, I go by "Caz" because it's the name my kiddo gave me in 2003 when she was 11.

I am a disability activist and writer. I work extensively on issues regarding sex, disability, illness, money, poverty, death, consent, accessibility, and accountability.

My writing has been published in anthologies relating to disability/sexuality and I have appeared as an author or interviewee in several publications, including Bitch, Broadly, and Curve.

As an educator, I have presented workshops and guest lectured to graduate students at George Washington University, Georgetown University, and Widener University on subjects including sadomasochism in relation to chronic pain, sex and disability, and disability as a general topic.

As a consultant and advocate, I provide assistance to individuals regarding supportive services, health insurance, vocational rehabilitation, and economic stability.
